About Us

Every great brand starts with a spark. Ours started at a kitchen table, where a father sat watching his daughter bring her imagination to life.

As a dad working an office job, I’ve always held onto a love for creativity. But watching my daughter’s natural talent for design and fashion flourish was something different entirely - it was pure joy. Her energy, vision, and light were infectious. It didn't take long for us to realise that her passion and my creative & business drive were meant for something more...

Together, we decided to build something of our own: River by Lisa.

Style with a Conscience

From day one, we knew River by Lisa had to stand for more than just great fashion, it had to stand for a better future.

Because we care deeply about our planet, we made a deliberate choice to operate on a Print-on-Demand (POD) model. That means every single item you order is made specifically for you. There are no massive warehouses, no overproduction, and zero excess waste. While a made-to-order approach means your package might take a few days longer to arrive, we believe protecting the environment is worth the short wait.

Finding partners who shared our high standards wasn't easy. We spent an entire year researching, ordering samples, testing materials, and vetting suppliers until we found the perfect balance of quality and sustainability. We refused to compromise, and the result is a collection we are genuinely proud to put our name on.

A Masterclass in Entrepreneurship

Building this store from the ground up has been an incredible journey for us both. My daughter hasn't just designed products; she’s been hands-on in every corner of the business, from initial planning and marketing to digital design.

We even built our very first online store entirely from scratch before migrating to Shopify to ensure our customers enjoy the highest level of security and peace of mind when shopping with us.

Along the way, we had the privilege of joining Simon Squibb’s HelpBnk E-commerce Accelerator program. Countless late nights were spent watching YouTube sessions, taking notes, doing the homework, and applying those lessons directly to our dream. The knowledge and support we gained from the HelpBnk community were game-changing, and we remain active members today, always eager to pay it forward and support other aspiring entrepreneurs starting their own journeys.

The Next Chapter

So, here we are: a father, a daughter, a website, and a dream... what's yours?

Thank you for being a part of our story, supporting sustainable fashion, and helping us turn a simple family passion into something real.
